Menlo Park Real Estate
Menlo Park in the Peninsula area of the San Francisco Bay Area is located just north of Palo Alto and East Palo Alto. It covers portions of the Stanford University campus, including the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC), a state of the art physics research facility. It is also home to the Western Region office of the United States Geological Survey. Many venture capital firms and other professional service companies centered on technology are situated on Sand Hill Road. Much of the city consists of two-lane roads. Santa Cruz Avenue is the main street in historic downtown Menlo Park. The town’s main bookstore, Kepler’s Bookstore, is one of the last independent bookstores on the peninsula. Filled with tree-lined neighborhoods and pleasant people, Menlo Park’s California live oak (Quercus agrifolia) on the Civic Center grounds is the city’s logo. The prices of real estate in Menlo Park have increased over the past 30 years. A few famous Menlo Park residents are Stevie Nicks- musician, Shirley Temple Black- actress and diplomat and Sergey Brin- Google founder.
